Our Class Assembly

Proper Nouns vs Common Nouns

A proper noun is a name of someone or a place. A proper noun always needs a capital letter.

A common noun is the name of an object such as table, or whiteboard.
It does not always require a capital letter unless it is at the start of a sentence.

Today our whole class did FLIP GRID for Te Reo Maori we had to pick what is your favourite subject and we have to say it in Maori. My friend had to ask me a question and then I will have to answer it. He will say:He aha Te marau pai Ki a koe Ki te kura. and then I will say:He pai Ki ahau te mahi Hakinakina me te Hangarau Ki te kura. And then will well switch it around I well ask him the question and then he well answer my question.
